BANGKOK Etihad Airways will add a fourth daily service between Abu Dhabi and Bangkok from 1 July.
Using a B777-300ER aircraft, the new service will increase Etihad’s roundtrip flights between the two cities to 28 a week and add approximately 5,000 weekly seats to the route.
All the services have seamless connections with flights to Europe.
The airline’s chief strategy and planning officer, Kevin Knight said: “Bangkok is one of the most popular destinations in our global network. The route has strong year-round demand and attracts guests from across the UAE, GCC, Middle East, Africa and Europe.”

Etihad Airways launched its Bangkok route with a single daily flights in April 2004. Since then, capacity has quadrupled to the Thai capital. The second daily flight was added in 2006 and a third daily flight in April 2012.
When Qatar, Emirates and Etihad’s weekly seat capacity is totalled the three Middle East airlines dominate the airline market between Thailand and Europe.
