Sofitel and Sebel open in Xining

Accor has announced the opening of Sofitel Xining, the city’s first international brand hotel, and The Sebel Xining, the first Sebel serviced apartment property in China.

Located in the west of Xining city, the Sofitel and Sebel are 30 minutes from Xining Airport and one and a half hours from Xi’an by air. The world’s largest inland lake, Qinghai, is an hour away from Xining city centre.

The hotel complex is part of Xining Xin Hua Lian City Complex, Xining’s first premier integrated project, which comprises an international five-star hotel, shopping centre, office buildings and residential towers.

Sofitel Xining’s neo-Gothic style building has 492 rooms and suites, incorporating Chinese traditional hospitality with characteristic French artwork, music and dining. Sofitel’s trademark MyBedTMand, bathroom amenities by Lanvin and Hermès and WiFi throughout the hotel are included.

European postmodernist restaurant Kwee Zeen has Chinese, Southeast Asian and European food. Le Chinois serves innovative Chinese haute cuisine as well as local specialities. Nabe will be Xining’s first full-service Japanese restaurant.

The hotel’s function rooms offer a total capacity of 2,500 m2, and 3,000 m2 recreational hub includes a swimming pool, gym and spa specialising in traditional oriental treatments.

The Sebel Xining has 197 apartments with kitchen, separate living area, and bathroom. A direct connection to Sofitel provides access to the hotel’s restaurants and other services.
