HANOI Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture will convert the historical Soc Temple monument complex in Phu Linh Commune in Soc Son district into a cultural tourism site.
Local media reported the department plans to transform the 31.5 ha tourist site by adding libraries, showrooms, hotels and resorts.
inside no 4The cultural site, along with the Vietnam Buddhism Institute and Non (Mountain) Pagoda, will also give visitors an introduction to folk culture. It is scheduled to be ready by 2020.
Located in a mountainous area, the Soc Temple will be the site for a number of activities related to ecotourism and commercial real estate developments .
They include resorts and entertainment centres to showcase cultural tourism.
In the first half of this year, the capital welcomed over 9.98 million visitors, a 3.38% increase year-on-year, including 1.53 million foreign arrivals, up 5% over the same period last year.
