ECO tourism guide-book published

ECO tourism guide-book is to guide tourists of countries which are members of Economic cooperation organization. The book is considered as the first step to boost tourism exchanges in the region. According to public relation of tourism deputyship of Heritage, handcrafts and tourism organization, deputy of tourism, Alireza Aameri said :”last year tourism deputyship accepted the responsibility to publish “ECO tourism guide-book” as one of the acts in last meeting of tourism ministers of ECO countries and now its outcome is ready to be used.”

He added :”Thus publishing the book was planned as the first step in boosting tourism exchanges in the region, introducing potencies and tourism attraction of these countires.”  Aameri pointed out :”After approving the final copy, the book is ready to be published. Tourism deputyship has held different meetings to gather all information related to tourism facilities of Iran and other member countries. And after reassessing and scientific editing, the book has been ready.”

He declared :”the book is in English and has been published in 545 pages in 5thousand copies. Not only publishing this book as well as distributing it among member countries is vital in boosting tourism industry, but can be used as a comprehensive and coherent movement and a positive and efficient pattern in other regional organizations and member countries.”

Economic Cooperation Organization, with 40 years history, is one of the noticeable structures and movements of the world in the course of convergence among countries of the region. The organization has ten members; Iran, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kirgizstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Turkey and Pakistan with 350 million populations in 7 million m2 land. The organization always has expanded its common projects and plans in various fields like transit, visa facilitation, and insurance, banking affairs, sailing, air transporting and commerce.
