Wendy Wu looks to capitalise on UK-China visa deal

British tourists will now receive a two year, multi-entry visa to China as part of a new agreement between the two countries. UK-China

This has replaced the single entry one year tourist visa. It will enable visitors from the UK to make multiple trips to China for longer periods.

China specialist Wendy Wu Tours, which currently includes the cost and processing of the visa in their tour prices, will absorb the additional cost of the new two-year visa for bookings made up until 15 February, after which the tour costs will be updated to reflect the visa changes. Travellers who book a trip to China independently will have to pay anything up to £200 for their visa.

“This is great news for people visiting China and will allow travellers to return to China and see even more areas of this incredible country without the need to apply for another visa. Wendy Wu Tours will continue to process visas for all their customers, taking away the inconvenience of doing it yourself,” said Laurence Hicks, managing director of Wendy Wu Tours.

Chinese visitors to the UK will also have the same visa arrangement. The system was initially agreed during the state visit of President Xi to the UK in October 2015 and hopes to increase the number of tourist visits between the two countries.
