Jin Jiang International Hotels receive Time Out Shanghai's New Life Awards

SHANGHAI - The "2015 Time Out Shanghai New Life Awards" were recently announced, with over 40 awards given in the three main categories of hotels, restaurants, and SPA. Jin Jiang International Hotels operates three hotels that made the list. Among them, Shanghai Jin Jiang Hotel and Shanghai Park Hotel that have Shanghainese culture rooted in their hotel "genes" both won the "Best Local Legend Hotel" award. The Anji Yin Run Jin Jiang Castle Hotel that opened last year also won the "Best Destination Hotel in Jiangsu & Zhejiang".

The "Time Out Shanghai New Life Awards" has been running for seven years, with each year's awards offering a professional examination of several industries. The Shanghai Jin Jiang Hotel and Shanghai Park Hotel won the "Best Local Legend Hotel" Award, both classic representatives of old Shanghai hotels that carry the collective memory and yearning of several generations of people in Shanghai. The hotels are replete with legends, both inside and out.

Jin Jiang Hotel is one of the most famous native five star hotels, located in the heart of Shanghai. The Cathay Mansions (now known as the Cathay Building) was built in 1926 with traditional English Gothic architecture, and today it serves as the north building of the Jin Jiang Hotel. The Grosvenor Mansions (now known as the Grosvenor House) built in 1934 is special because of its art deco features, and at the time, it was regarded as the world's newest building similar to New York's Barclay-Vesey building. Today it is used for VIP hotel guests. The illustrious Jin Jiang Grand Hall was built in 1959 and is still open today, where it has received over 500 heads of state and government leaders.

The Shanghai Park Hotel is situated on Nanjing Road, the coordinates of the "geographic origin." Designed by Hungarian architect Ladislav Hudec, it has enjoyed the reputation of the "first Far East skyscraper" for thirty years, "Shanghai's highest building" for fifty years, and today is included as a "key national historical relic protected by the state."
