Members of this year’s judging panel included industry leaders such as: Christine McGinnis fromWATG/Wimberly Interiors; Marc Dardenne, Patina Hotels; Carsten Lima, Design Hotels;Anne Geiermann, The Hong Kong & Shanghai Hotels; Andre Fu, AFSO; John Shamon,Rosewood; Brian Lum, Hyatt; Loh Lik Peng, Unlisted Collection; Rajiv Puri, Minor Hotel Group; Jean-Luc Fourrier, JLF Associates; Julia Monk, HOK; Brian Williams, Swire Hotels; Bill Bensley, Bensley Design Studio; Michael Goodman, EDG Design; Guy Heywood, Alila Hotels;Zee Kastanek, Proof; Jennyfer Lacroix, Raffles; Paul Matthew Wiste, Jumeirah; Matt Turner,Sleeper Magazine; and Chair of Judges Khirstie Myles from IHG.

Commenting on this year’s award, Matt Turner, Editor-in-Chief of Sleeper Magazine, said: "This year's awards had an incredible response from the hotel design community across the Asia-Pacific region. Over 130 entries were received from 60 projects in twelve different countries. The quality and diversity of the nominated projects is a real testament to the creativity and professionalism of the designers and architects involved, and all those who were shortlisted can be proud of their achievement. The winning projects were a stunning showcase of the best hotel designs in Asia over the past twelve months. We were also honoured to be able to acknowledge Adrian Zecha’s outstanding contribution to the industry over the past five decades."

Launched by Sleeper Magazine, organiser of the European Hotel Design Awards, the Asia Hotel Design Awards is part of Singapore Design Week.
