BANGKOK Best Western Hotels & Resorts has signed the first Glō hotel in Asia, a brand that was only officially launched worldwide in 2015.
It will open in 2019 on Na Jomtien bay, just a few minutes’ drive south of the popular Thai beach resort of Pattaya.
The new GLō Na Jomtien is being developed by Habitat Group, with construction due to commence in September 2017.
This marks the second partnership between Best Western Hotels & Resorts and Habitat Group.
Earlier this year, the two companies announced plans for a Best Western Premier Bayphere Pattaya – a new upscale hotel, in Pattaya.
“We are delighted to be partnering with the Habitat Group once again for another project,” said Best Western Hotels & Resorts’ managing director of international operations – Asia, Olivier Berrivin. “And the fact that this marks our first GLō hotel in Asia makes this occasion all the more momentous.”
The newest brand from Best Western Hotels & Resorts, GLō is designed specifically for new-build hotels, while the concept is easily recognizable by its striking exterior design, which features LED lights to make hotels highly visible from the road.
Once inside the building, guests will benefit from streamlined services and seamless connectivity, such as fast, free Wi-Fi and plenty of international power outlets.
The traditional hotel lobby will be transformed into an informal yet highly functional space where guests can work, dine and socialise, and every GLō hotel will feature a fitness centre.
The property is located close to attractions including the Cartoon Network Amazone Waterpark, Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden, Pattaya Floating Market, Mimosa Pattaya and Buddha Mountain.
Founded in 2012, Habitat Group is a Thai property developers in the mid- to high-end market.
