TAT appoints deputy governors

BANGKOK Three new deputy governors at the Tourism Authority of Thailand assumed their posts, 1 October, replacing three veteran deputy governors who retired effective 30 September.

The state organisation has a mandatory retirement age of 60.

Tanes Petsuwan, who was executive director for Europe, Africa and Middle East Region, was named deputy governor for international marketing (Europe, Africa, Middle East and Americas). He replaced deputy governor Juthamas Rerngronasa.

Chattan Kunjara Na Ayudhya, who was executive director for the advertising and public relations department, was named deputy governor for marketing communications.

He replaced deputy governor Sugree Sithivanich.

Noppadon Pakprot, executive director for the events department, was named deputy governor for tourism products and business.

He replaced deputy governor Visanu Jaroensilp.

There were also numerous other changes in the TAT management at executive director and overseas office director levels, effective 30 September, but so far TAT has not updated the travel industry on those changes.
