Vietjet signs Memorandum of Understanding with Air India

SINGAPORE –
Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (“Vietjet”) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with
Air India for a cooperation on the supply of aviation services connecting Vietnam and India.

The MoU was signed in New Delhi on 10 December by Vice President of Vietjet Air, Dinh Viet Phuongand Director of Commercial for Air India, Pankaj Srivastava.
Under the deal, Vietjet and Air India will partner to commence direct flights connecting Vietnam and India, with the first planned route between Ho Chi Minh City and New Delhi. The airlines will also cooperate on expanding the capability of sales distribution and implementing tourism and trade promotions between both countries.
“We are delighted with the agreement and hope that Air India’s aviation experience and capabilities will help Vietjet better access India – a potential market with a young and dynamic population of more than 1.2 billion people. The deal will contribute positively to a higher development and partnership in economy, trade and tourism between the two countries,” said Dinh Viet Phuong.
