BANGKOK Thailand’s premier travel trade show, TTM Plus, returns to Chiang Mai for the second year in a row.
The 16th Thailand Travel Mart Plus Amazing Gateway to the Greater Mekong Subregion (TTM+) 2017 will be held at Chiang Mai’s convention and exhibition centre, 14 to 16 June, 2017.
The show moved to the northern capital for its 2016 edition, last June, after a 15-year stint in Bangkok.
It was hosted at the Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre (CMECC), an impressive events complex that has seen few international events since it opened in 2014.
TAT officials confirmed on the last day of the 2016 TTM that the show would return to Chiang Mai in 2017 during the closing cocktail reception.
The 2017 TTM will adopt the theme “Discover Unique Local Experiences.”
Registrations for buyers and sellers opened 15 December, at www.thailandtravelmartplus.com.
TTM introduces new travel products and services emerging in Thailand, while offering exhibition space to neighbouring countries from the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS).
However, it viewed mainly as a useful platform for small and independent hotels and tour companies in Thailand that would not be able to afford to attend an overseas trade show.
It allows them to introduce their products to around 300 overseas buyers from around 40 countries.
