BANGKOK Peach Aviation, a Japanese low-cost airline, will commence flights from Okinawa to Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) 19 February next year.
The airline will operate a daily service using an Airbus A320 aircraft.
Peach is offering one-way promotional fares on Okinawa to Bangkok starting at JPY9,980 in economy class and JPY13,580 in premium class. Fares exclude fees and taxes.
The airline said on its website that tickets for the Okinawa-Bangkok route are available only for sale in Japan. All fares are in Japanese currency. Initially, the airline will not sell seats in Bangkok.
“We expect to launch our fares in the Thailand market in the near future. At that time fares will be available from Thailand in Thai baht currency in addition to Japanese yen,” the airline said in a statement, without giving details of when local sales in Thailand would commence.
The new service will mark Peach’s entry into Thailand, and Southeast Asia.
Bangkok will become the seventh international destination for Peach, following Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul, Busan, Taipei and Kaohsiung.
