Action-focused online bootcamp helps people jump-start lifelong dreams

SINGAPORE - On January 21-22, the first-ever Bucket List Bootcampwill be held. Unlike other virtual events, participants will not just be listening to speakers giving talks. Instead, they will take active steps toward realizing dreams they may have written off as impossible.

The Bucket List Bootcamp is run by PassionBlueprint, a website that helps people conquer their fears and do what they love. The event will take place online, on January 21 and 22, from 1pm to 5pm EST, and be accessible from anywhere in the world. Tickets are available online. The event will help participants take the first step to achieving their dreams – whether it is writing a book, switching careers, or traveling the world.

Derrick Kwa, founder of PassionBlueprint, has achieved a number of his own dreams, and now wants to help others do the same. "I left school at 16 to forge my own path. I was extremely scared, but I didn't let that fear stop me," says Kwa. "Since then, I've traveled through 10 countries in two years, played in professional poker tournaments, and worked with some of my idols like Seth Godin. I want people to know that they can achieve their dreams too – they just have to push past that fear and go for it."

During the Bucket List Bootcamp, Derrick will draw from his own experiences to lead participants through selecting a goal from their bucket list, identifying the barriers holding them back, and taking the first steps to overcoming those barriers.

The event will also feature eight interactive workshops led by guest experts, covering skills such as time management, creativity, confidence, and more. Guest experts include Peter Himmelman, Grammy and Emmy nominated musician and CEO of Big Muse; Rachel Pedersen, award-winning social media strategist and one of CMI's 50 Most Influential Online Marketers; and Aileen Xu, lifestyle blogger, artist, and host of The Lavendaire Lifestyle.

After the event, participants will be invited to a private Facebook community, where they can get support and encouragement as they continue going after their dreams.

Kwa hopes that the action-focused format and the continued post-event community support will propel participants towards lasting change. "The problem with most online events," explains Kwa, "is that you just sit there and watch someone talk at you. Then after the event, you go off, and continue on your life the exact same way. We don't want that to happen. We want to make sure you actually make a change, and keep moving forward towards your dreams."
