Bangkok street food capital

BANGKOK Bangkok has been named the best world city for street food by CNN.

Government spokesman Lt Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd confirmed Bangkok continues to top the list for the second year.

Yaowarat, or Bangkok’s Chinatown, was also named one of the best neighbourhoods in the Thai capital to explore street food.

“The Prime Minister is happy with the ranking which is confirms the identity of Thailand as a destination where delicious foods is served at all times,” the government spokesman told the media.

However, he warned that vendors and cooks should strictly comply with food safety and sanitary practices and cooperate with officials to maintain orderliness and impress visitors.
