HONG KONG - Full-service airline Hong Kong Airlines for the first time engaged students from Taiwan in the airline's "Triumph Sky High" Junior Programme.

The participating students visited an aircraft and toured around the airport facilities in Hong Kong, learning and experiencing different aspects of airline operations, accompanied by Hong Kong Airlines' ground service staff and crew members.

30 participants including students, teachers, and volunteers from Taiwan Yong Lin Foundation and representatives from Hong Kong Airlines' Taiwan office paid a visit to Hong Kong Airlines' catering service facility, the first stop of the tour, where they learnt about how inflight meals were prepared. They were then guided by the airline's ground service staff for check-in experience at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). The group moved to the newly launched Midfield Concourse at HKIA to board a Hong Kong Airlines aircraft, where pilots and cabin crew of Hong Kong Airlines shared their aviation knowledge and experiences. The students showed great interest in cockpit and cabin structure, business class facilities and life jackets. Some students even won the chance to make inflight passenger announcement and to serve meals as a pilot or cabin crew.
