HUANGLING, China - Two tourism delegations comprising 48 delegates from Laos, Eastern and Central Europe paid a visit to Huangling from March 24-25 to enjoy the gorgeous spring in the most beautiful countryside in China. The delegates discussed ways to improve local services and promote Huangling to international visitors with local officials and tourism professionals.
Among the delegates were officials from Laos, led by Sipaseuth Khamlay, a member of the Standing Committee of Luang Namtha Provincial Party Committee and Director of Luang Namtha Department of Agriculture and Forestry, as well as representatives from international NGOs, think tanks and media from Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Albania and Croatia.
"Huangling has attracted visitors from across the world with its extraordinary rapeseed flower terraces and abundant cultural heritage. As spring arrives, the ribbon-like terraces are covered with iconic golden rapeseed flowers, which impressed the delegates from Laos. They couldn't stop praising the beauty of Huangling during their trip to the rapeseed flower terraces," said Wu Xiangyang, CEO of Wuyuan Rural Culture Development Co., Ltd.
Various flowers are planted in Huangling's terraced fields. This town of flowers will be covered by different kinds of colors with the rotation of the seasons and present different sceneries to visitors.
The delegates wandered through the rustic stone paths, passed by the black and white Hui-style houses and got a glimpse of authentic rural China.
The local tour also introduced Huangling's historic and cultural heritage shaiqiu, where villagers sun-dry harvests and produce in bamboo baskets on roofs to preserve the food.
