TCT president, Ittirit Kinglek, said the country’a tourism in Q3 should be positive reaching 8.75 million international travellers, an increase of 6.38% over the same quarter last year.
The projection indicates East Asia would supply 3.95 million tourists (+7.20%), ASEAN 2.37 million visits (+7.73%) and Europe 1.27 million visits (+5.75%).
By the end of the year, the council estimates the country will welcome 35.13 million international travellers, an increase of 7.79% over last year. The visits should contribute THB1.82 trillion in tourism revenue up 9.79%.
