Visa customers will likely see more promotions on Singapore holidays, as the national tourism body announces a new three year partnership with the travel services provider.

Signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in Singapore last week, the Singapore Tourism Board and Visa agreed to jointly promote the destination over the next three years.

?Through joint marketing efforts to promote Singapore and its events to Visa cardholders, we want to entice more people to travel to our city and experience the many exciting travel and lifestyle products that we have here in Singapore.?,? Aw Kah Peng, Singapore Tourism Board CEO.

?Not only will this partnership enable consumers to benefit from the exclusive privileges and enjoy the convenience and peace of mind offered by Visa, it will also enable us to reach out to potential travellers in many of our key source markets in a targeted way.?

Under this new partnership, travellers to Singapore who are also Visa cardholders will see exclusive benefits and promotions.  Joint promotions during events like the Singapore Grand Prix Season, Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games and Christmas in the Tropics will also likely take place.

e-Travel Blackboard understands that this new contract does not cover the Great Singapore Sale promotions, of whom the official credit card sponsors are MasterCard.

Mastercard are unlikely to easily relinquish its status as the ?Official Card? of The Great Singapore Sale.
