KUALA LUMPUR, April 30 — Samsung will be introducing the Galaxy A6 and A6+ (2018) very soon. For an early peek, Roland Quandt of winfuture.de has dropped more clues of these new mid-range smartphones. As seen in the previous leaks, the Galaxy A6 and A6+ appear to be a slightly more affordable device that’s positioned below its current Galaxy A8 and A8+ (2018).
Instead of glass, the Galaxy A6 and A6+ uses metal for the back and it has a similar design as the newer Galaxy J series. The fingerprint sensor is mounted at the back with a similar camera module + fingerprint sensor placement as the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy A8.
Both models get a primary 16MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture lens while the A6+ has an additional 5MP f/1.9 camera for depth of field effects. With the dual-camera setup on the Galaxy A6+, you can take pictures with bokeh effects with its Live Focus feature.
For selfies, the Galaxy A6 features a front-facing 16MP f/1.9 camera while the bigger A6+ gets a higher resolution 24MP f/1.9 shooter. In low light situations, it has screen flash with LED assistance.
