Emirates plans flights to Shanghai

Emirates announced it is adding Shanghai to its flight operations, deploying its A380 on non-stop services to China’s city commencing 27 April this year.
The carrier’s third destination in China, will run daily three days a week departing from Dubai to Shanghai Pudong International Airport.Emirates Airline andamp; Group chairman His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum said launching the A380 into Dubai is a show of commitment to trade between China and Dubai.
“We are happy to welcome Shanghai’s first A380 flight to land at Shanghai Pudong Airport, having adapted the facilities and enforced thorough safeguard measures for A380s to ensure the smooth operations of this revolutionary superjumbo,” , Shanghai International Airport vice president Yu Wuyan said.
The new route adds onto its Beijing and Hong Kong service launched in August and October last year.
Currently the airline operates up to 15 A380s, flying to ten destinations including London, Paris, Toronto, Seoul, Bangkok, Beijing, Jeddah, New York, Hong Kong, Sydney and Auckland.
