As part of its campaign to increase inbound travel, Tourism New Zealand has unveiled an online game in China that showcases NZ experiences to gamers.
Pure New Zealand, 100% Revival Tour invites players the travel through the various scenery, landscapes and activities available in NZ and is even offering people who sign up and chance to win a trip for them plus five friends to NZ.
Tourism New Zealand Asia market general manager Mark Frood said the game was an add on from the Group’s New Zealand 100% Pure You campaign, that launched in NZ’s key markets earlier this year.
Users can also use Chinese blog site Sina Weibo or MSN to share the game with friends.
Over the year ending February 2011, New Zealand witnessed a 25.9 percent increase in Chinese visitors compared to the previous period to 129,000.
