Boutique hotel opens in Luang Prabang

A new boutique resort, Kiridara Luang Prabang, will open its doors in early June at a site just 2 km from the world heritage town’s airport.The property is managed by Ativa Hospitality headed by veteran hotelier, Bill Black, who founded the enterprise with Sudhakar Mallya a venture capitalist. The group has its roots in Bed Management Company in Bangkok, but started its own technical services and management deals in 2005. See www.aviahospitality.com

Rates set for the Kiridari’s soft opening period, ending 30 September, range from US$120 for double occupancy with breakfasts in superior mountain view rooms to US$170 in the top premium category.

Kiridara Luang Prabang is located on North Road in Ban Naviengkham, close to the highway 13 that skirts round the back of the historical town. Claiming superb views of Phou Si mountain the property features 24 rooms, ranging in size from 33 to 75 square metres.Kiridara Luang Prabang will open with a Laotian spa and three dinning venues including The Deck, Poolside Bar and Phu Doi restaurant.
