ANA introduces new cabins

ANA announces the launch of new in-flight products and services starting February 2010, on its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the Tokyo-New York route.

Under the theme ?Inspiration of Japan?, ANA is refreshing all of its products and services in the face of stiff competition and criticism that the airline has lost ground in in-flight service.

The cabin service improvement will debut on the Tokyo ? New York JFK first on Boeing 777-300ERs. This will be expanded to aircraft serving Frankfurt and London in the first half of its 2010 fiscal year and the rest by 2011 fiscal year.

The new service operates every other day in February and March.

The new 777-300ER is configured as eight first class seats, 68 seats in business class 24 in premium economy and 112 in economy class. All cabins are equipped with AVOD, power port, iPod connector, USB port and from April 2010, first and business passengers can order meals and drinks from personal screen while premium economy and economy passengers can order drinks.
