Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) announced that, on the sidelines of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders Meeting to be held next week, it will hold talks with representatives of Asian airlines and convince them to start operating in the Andean country.
Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism Jose Luis Silva said late Thursday he has requested to meet with the presidents of the main Asian airlines in the framework of said event to take place from November 7 to 13 in Hawaii (United States).
“I have asked to meet with the presidents of the main Asian airlines and I expect to do it in Hawaii,” he stated.
Moreover, Minister Silva noted that he wants airlines such as Air China, Korean Air, Singapore Airlines and others fly to Peru.
“That way, we will have more connectivity to bring passengers and cargo planes will leave the country filled with mangos, asparagus and avocados,” he said.
