Hong Kong Tourism Booms Ahead of Winter Festival

Tourism in Hong Kong has heated up gradually as the city kicked off the 10th Hong Kong Winter Festival.

From January to September this year, over 30 million people visited Hong Kong, with mainland Chinese tourists as the driving force, according to Hong Kong’s government.

[Tian Beijun, President, Hong Kong Tourism Board]:
"We have performed well this year with the rising average expenditure of visitors to Hong Kong due to the prosperous mainland Chinese economic situation and the increasing number of visitors."

The Hong Kong Winter Festival includes two theme zones located separately in the Centenary Garden of the Urban Council.

Tourists can also enjoy many additional activities, such as the Asia Game Show and the Fantastic Christmas Eve.
