Asia's tourism industry still did well in September, with 5.7% growth year-on-year, according to the Pacific Travel Association (Pata).
South Asia led the September growth with an 11% rise in the number of tourists, followed by Southeast Asia, up 9%, Northeast Asia 5% and the Pacific 1%.
Martin Craigs, CEO of Pata, said international tourist arrivals to Asia Pacific showed a relatively strong momentum but some destinations such as Vietnam and Japan are facing difficulties.
