Hong Kong welcomed Ms Nancy Ryan as its 40 millionth visitor in a single year as she took her first trip to Hong Kong with three family members.
Arriving in on flight CX807 from Chicago on 20 December, Ms Ryan and her family was spoilt with an array of gifts and special programs to leave a lasting fond memory of Hong Kong, totalling more than HK$224,000.
Included were two business-class return flight tickets between Hong Kong and Chicago sponsored by Cathay Pacific Airways and a helicopter ride above Victoria Harbour offered by The Peninsula Hong Kong, which came with an afternoon tea at The Lobby, as well as deluxe accommodation in the hotel.
Other gifts included complimentary tickets for admission to Hong Kong Disneyland, Madame Tussauds, Ngong Ping 360, Ocean Park and sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck, passes for the Big Bus Tour and the Peak Tram and cash coupons for dining at Jumbo Kingdom.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board also arrange for the guests a ride on the Chinese junk Duk Ling under the Hong Kong Cultural Kaleidoscope programme, Museum Weekly Passes for admission to museums managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, a one-day Hong Kong guided tour and a hamper of Hong Kong’s iconic souvenirs.
Ms Ryan and her family will return to Hong Kong on 31 December to kick-start the New Year in spectacular style and join the 5th Hong Kong New Year Countdown Celebrations.
