Tourism Malaysia is to host the first ever IAGTO Asia Golf Tourism Convention at the Mines Resort and Golf club, Kuala Lumpur between April 22-25.
The convention is set to attract 150 golf tour operators from 38 different countries, as well as golf resorts, courses and hotels, who will convene for networking and business relations.
Golf Tourism Director, IAGTO, Giles Greenwood stated: “Malaysia is an ideal golf destination with over 200 courses to choose from in a variety of different landscapes.”
“I was particularly impressed with the high standard of the courses which is why we chose Malaysia to host our first ever Asia Golf Tourism Convention on 22-25 April 2012."
Malaysia has witnessed increased interest amongst golfers following the launch of the Malaysia Golf Tourism Association last year, which set about to further develop golf tourism in the country.
