Singapore Airlines is continuing to upgrade its aircraft, the carrier saying on Monday its new Airbus A330-300s, to start operations in the next few months, would feature its latest product and service offerings

The aircraft, which will operate services to Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, Kuwait and Male from late March and services to Fukuoka and Taipei from 28 April and serve Colombo from 1 May this year, will replace the carrier's Boeing 777 operations on the routes.

They will feature a two-class layout with 30 Business Class and 255 Economy Class seats, with a new seat in the Business cabin specially designed for regional and medium-haul routes.

SIA said the Business seat converts to an incline lie-flat bed and offers enhanced levels of comfort, privacy and functionality.

But Economy travellers will also be able to experience a new seat, with the carrier's A330-300s featuring new-generation Singapore Airlines Economy Class seats which are ergonomically designed to provide comfort, more personal space and increased legroom.

All seats on the aircraft also feature SIA?s new in-flight entertainment system KrisWorld and iPod and iPhone connectivity.

Singapore Airlines said it would progressively deploy A330-300 aircraft on other regional and medium-haul routes later this year as part of its product enhancement efforts.

The carrier?s fleet currently has nine A330-300s, with another 10 due to be delivered by the end of this year.
