Kingfisher Airlines will introduce services to Bangkok from two Indian cities, Delhi and Mumbai, starting 17 April.
The airline kicked off operations to Thailand, last August, beginning with daily services from Kolkata, deploying an Airbus A321.
The routes from Delhi and Mumbai will be served by six weekly services using Airbus A320s. They will add 1,608 seats per week, per sector on the routes. Overall, the airline will have 3,001 seats per week, per sector on three routes.
The Bangkok-Kolkata route is currently served by THAI and three Indian airlines ?Kingfisher, Air India Express and Jet Airways. THAI, Jet Airways and Air India fly to Mumbai and Delhi with an additional player, Cathay Pacific Airways, on the Mumbai route.
Kingfisher?s flight to Delhi departs from Bangkok at 2000 and arrives at 2245, while the Bangkok-bound flight leaves the Indian capital city at 0130 and lands at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 0715.
The Mumbai flight departs Bangkok at 0830 and arrives at 1120. The Bangkok-bound flight departs 1300 and lands at 1810.
Currently, the lowest possible fare for Mumbai and Delhi is Bt12,000, inclusive of taxes and surcharge.
The airline will also commence a daily service to London from Delhi. It currently flies to London from Mumbai. Both services are operated with A330-200s.
With the inauguration of the Bangkok-Mumbai service, passengers from Thailand will have an alternative route to London with just one-stop. Connecting time at Mumbai on the outbound leg is one hour and two and a half hours on the inbound journey.
The London fare from Bangkok is Bt36,500, inclusive of taxes and surcharges. Above fares are subject to change due to fluctuation of exchange rate.
