The Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME) launched at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre today with more than 500 buyers from up to 30 countries in attendance this year.
The annual expo, launched alongside the new Business Events Week, is set to impress with a range of new initiatives and a renewed focus on technology.
According to Reed Travel Exhibition’s Director for AIME Sally de Swart, technology will be fundamental at AIME 2013, with the launch of an all new AIME mobile app, mobile concierge as well as the Future Events Experience.
“As the premier exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region for the meetings and incentives industry, AIME is a fitting place to debate the challenges and opportunities faced by the industry and we have tried to encourage this further, particularly around ways to better leverage the potential of new technology,” Ms de Swart explained.
In 2013, AIME will also give business travel greater focus, with a dedicated stream focusing entirely on business travel added to the AIME Knowledge program.
AIME 2013 will run on 26 and 27 February 2013.
