The Vanuatu Tourism Office (VTO) Australia will host a road show in June 2010 holding events in Melbourne on June 22, Sydney on June 23 and Brisbane on June 24 to update the industry on the destination, products and developments.
With over 65% of Vanuatu?s arrivals coming from Australia this is a key promotional activity for the destination.
Sarah Anderson Australian director for the Vanuatu Tourism Office Australia says that this is an important opportunity for agents to learn more about the variety of new product available in the country.
?Vanuatu offers both relaxation and adventure and with direct flights being reintroduced from Melbourne there is now easy access from all major cities on Australia?s east coast,? Sarah said.
?Those that are lucky enough to have experienced Vanuatu are passionate about it and repeat visitation rates for air travellers is around 30% which just goes to show just how well-loved Vanuatu is.
?Our travel agents partners are central to maintaining Vanuatu?s position as one of the top island destinations for Australian travellers and the road show will give them the tools they need to better sell the destination.?
The road shows events will be held from 6:00pm ? 9:30pm at The Hotel Windsor in Melbourne, Dockside in Sydney and The Mercure Hotel in Brisbane. The fun, educational event will include cocktails and canap?s, a detailed destination update and time to meet and mingle with suppliers from Vanuatu?s 83 islands.
