Hainan Airlines and Siberia Airlines share code on several China-Russia routes

BEIJING - It was announced on October 17th that Hainan Airlines (HNA) began its codeshare with Siberia Airlines (S7) on several routes including: Beijing = Moscow, Beijing = St. Petersburg, Beijing = Sanya, Beijing = Guangzhou, Beijing = Shanghai and Beijing = Shenzhen, as well as three flights operated by S7 named: Beijing = Novosibirsk, Beijing = Krasnoyarsk, Beijing = Khabarovsk.

S7 owns the second largest flight network in Russia, allowing passengers to transfer conveniently to their flights when travelling with HNA on Beijing - Moscow/St. Petersburg with more price-valued deals. After codeshare, participants on both sides act as mutually operator and marketer.

While Hainan Airlines opened flight routes between Beijing and St. Petersburg , Beijing and Moscow in 2007 and 2009 respectively with an exclusive circular trip Beijing - St. Petersburg - Moscow - Beijing, offering the best choice for customers who plan to visit Russia. What's more, there are over 400 HNA aircrafts taking off from Chinese capital to more than 40 cities throughout the countries every week, ensuring a more comfortable and simplified travel experience for China-Russia round-trip passengers.

Under global circumstances, Chinese tourist arrivals were reported to increase by 13% in Russia during the previous two quarters of 2013, reaching 130 thousand and a number is expected to exceed 500 thousand by 2014, a very near future. Though surprisingly that during the same period of 2013, Russian tourists seemed to be less interested in visiting their neighbor which resulted in a remarkable decrease on the traveller volume by 15.5%, director of Russian Tourism Board expressed himself quite clear that China is always one of the most welcomed and favorite nations in the eyes of Russian people. Hopefully with the help of such bilateral initiatives in aviation industry, tourism markets in both China and Russia are able to perk up and benefit from each other.
