The new menu, which launches on board all flights, caters for a range of dietary requirements and includes a number of new hot menu items including a savoury pastry pack which will be a hit for many travelling sports fans.

The day begins with your choice of blueberry muffin, banana bread mini loaf, cinnamon porridge or the ever popular hot bacon and egg Turkish roll served with tomato relish, along with your choice of hot brew.

The triple chicken sandwich platter remains as a popular choice and for the first time hot gluten free mozzarella, cheddar, tomato and basil toasties are available to take care of lunchtime munchies. Or for those wanting something light, there is a new natural popcorn option along with new sweet snack choices such as Rowie’s Anzac biscuits.

Come evening, or any time you have a savoury pastry craving, a Vili’s meat pie and sausage roll combo pack is on offer and will accompany a Pure Blonde Premium or Strongbow Cider nicely if you are not driving at the other end.

The beverage list has been enhanced including the addition of a new Church Hill Shiraz Cabernet for red wine lovers and the orange and apple juice options now come in a larger sized serve.

Children are well catered for with an enhanced Kids Snack Pack and merchandise remains for sale on board including sunglasses, watches, adaptors, lip balm and “Toby” the Tigerair plush toy along with the recent addition of model Tigerair aircraft.

Customers who plan ahead can continue to book their Tiger Bites combo meal choice in advance at the same time that they book their ticket, saving time, money and the hassle of ordering when on board.

Tigerair Australia’s Head of Communications Vanessa Regan says that the Tiger Bites menu has been a popular addition since it was launched in September last year and follows other recent advancements to take the hassle out of flying including self-serve check in kiosks in key ports and recently, web-check with bag drop facilities which were launched across the Tigerair network in March this year.

“Our goal is to make Tigerair Australia’s number one airline of choice for budget travel; providing Australians with great value fares and friendly service while helping keep the domestic travel market competitive."

“However, just because you have bagged yourself a great fare doesn’t mean to say you can’t have your savoury pie and eat it too! Tigerair’s exciting in-flight menu is designed with value and choice in mind and we hope our regular customers notice the difference,” she said.

The menu will be updated again in six months in time for summer and as always, the product will continue to evolve based on consumer demand.
