VIENTIANE Lao Airlines will operate twice weekly flights connecting Vientiane to Changsha in Hunan province, China, starting the end of this month.
Lao News Agency quoted Ministry of the Transport and Public Works office deputy head, Phouphet Thammavong, who said the first flight between Vientiane and Changsha is scheduled for 31 August.
Initially, the airline will offer twice weekly flights on Monday and Friday with a departure time of 1240 from Vientiane and an arrival time in Changsha of 1625 local time.
The return flight will depart Changsha at 1715 and arrive in Vientiane at 1900.
inside no 2The airline opened an office last week in Changsha, the capital city of Hunan province of the People’s Republic of China.
The office will offer ticketing services, while covering travel agency sales in the province. It will also strengthen the China–Laos Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and boost trade.
Currently, Lao Airlines offers flights from Vientiane to Chengdu, Kunming, Hangzhou, and Guangzhou. It also offers flights from Luang Prabang to Jinghong.
