BANGKOK Thai Airways International shuffles its 747-400 aircraft with newer fuel efficient aircraft on some routes in Asia, starting 30 October.

Routes Online updates the trade on the airline schedules and it reported, last week, an update for TG aircraft operation in the winter 2016/17 timetable.

On the Bangkok – Beijing route, TG614/615, will be served by a Boeing 777-300 replacing 747-400s.

inside no 7Some flights will still use the Boeing 777 extended range version.

There are no changes to TG686/687 which continues to use the Dreamliner 787.

By 16 January the airline will replace the Boeing 777s on TG674/675 services with the Boeing 787.

On the Bangkok – Osaka Kansai route, TG622/623 will be served by a Boeing 747-400 replacing A380s, but the Boeing Dreamliner will be used for this service effective 16 January.

On the Bangkok – Seoul Incheon the service, TG658/659 will switch to a Boeing 747-400 replacing the 777-300.

THAI was expected to phase out the entire 747-400 and 300 series to make way for newer more fuel efficient aircraft.

On the Bangkok –Tokyo Haneda the TG682/683 service will use a Boeing 777-300ER replacing the 747-400.

However on most of the North Asian routes, the changes, effective 30 October, reflect an increase in leisure bookings to Thailand during the winter timetabl
