THAI rolls out first A380

Thai Airways International (THAI) has rolled out of the Airbus paint shop showcasing the first new A380 in Hamburg over the weekend with its unique livery.

This commemorates the end of the painting and cabin installation work on the aircraft.

The new Thai Airways A380 will now begin a final phase of ground and flight tests in Hamburg.

During this stage all cabins systems will be thoroughly tested this will include the checking of the air -flow, air conditioning, lighting, galleys, lavatories, seats and in-flight entertainment.

Meanwhile, Airbus will also commence advanced general performance tests with the aircraft prior to its flight to Toulouse for preparation for delivery to the airline later on this year.

The airline has firm orders for six A380s and will operate the aircraft on its Bangkok to Europe route.
