Emirates expands flights in ASEAN

DUBAI  Emirates will begin daily services to Phnom Penh, 1 July, by extending its Yangon service  to the Cambodian capital.

The service will use a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a two-class configuration.inside no 1

On the same day Emirates will delink Hanoi from its Dubai-Yangon service, serving the Vietnamese capital with its own nonstop service out of  Dubai.


The outbound Dubai-Yangon-Phnom Penh service, EK388, will depart Dubai at 0915 and will arrive in Yangon at 1725. It will then depart Yangon at 1855, to arrive in Phnom Penh at 2125.

Flights from Paris, London, and Frankfurt connect conveniently with EK388 at the airline’s Dubai hub.

On the return sector, flight EK389 will depart Phnom Penh at 2310 and will arrive in Dubai at 0540 on the following morning. The flight will make a stop in Yangon. All times are local.

The launch of the daily Dubai-Phnom Penh service will coincide with the introduction of a nonstop flight between Dubai and Hanoi, also on 1 July. The Emirates flight to Hanoi will no longer make a stop in Yangon.

Phnom Penh, is the most populous city in Cambodia with fast developing garments and tourism industries.

There were more than 4.7 million foreign tourist arrivals to Cambodia in 2015 and this is forecast to rise to 8 million by 2020. The opening of the Phnom Penh Airport terminal extension in March, last year, will speed up growth, effectively doubling passenger capacity.
