Cambodia has 33 domestic and foreign airlines connecting flights regionally and globally

Dr. Mao Havannall, Minister in charge of the Secretariat of Civil Aviation, on October 26, 2025, stated that as of the first 9 months of 2025, Cambodia has 33 domestic and foreign airlines connecting flights regionally and globally.

His statement was made on the occasion of Dr. Mao Havannal’s inauguration of the direct flight between Phnom Penh and Tokyo via Huzhou (China) at Techo International Airport on the morning of October 26, 2025.

Dr. Mao stated that, “As for the results of air transport in the first nine months of 2025, we have 33 domestic and foreign airlines connecting flights within the region and globally, including 8 countries in the ASEAN region . ”

Dr. Mao said that the eight countries include: China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, and received more than 5.1 million air passengers, an increase of 14% compared to the same period in 2024, which was only more than 4.5 million passengers.

In addition, Dr. Mao Havannal highlighted that from now on, Cambodia has decided to organize additional connecting flights between Cambodia and Japan, which is the 16th country with flights to Cambodia.
