Digitalization of Visa Application and Issuance for the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Starting from 03 October 2026, the processing and issuance of visa for Cambodia will be completely digitalized across all categories, including the special visa (Visa K) for Cambodians holding a foreign passport.
The new digital visa system (administered by the Embassy) will run in parallel with the existing electronic visa (e-Visa) system (administered by the Foreign Ministry in Cambodia).
The Embassy will publish the updated guidelines for this digital adaptation soon.
The implementation of Visa-on-Arrival (VoA) will continue to remain in effect.
NOTE: Processing of applications for Visa K is currently unavailable pending subsequent notification.
What does this mean?
Travelers will need to submit their visa applications in digital copies. Once approved, travelers will be notified and receive their digital visa via an e-mail.
Cambodia will no longer issue the traditional adhesive visa sticker previously affixed on travelers' passports.
Adhesive visa stickers issued to applicants by any competent authority of Cambodia before 03 October 2026 will still be recognized and valid for lawful use.
What is the alternative?
Available 24/7, travelers may also apply for a self-service e-Visa where they can fully managed and track their application.
Before choosing this option, please spare a minute to verify the valid entry points for the e-Visa HERE.
