PHNOM PENH Cambodia Angkor Air signed, Tuesday, a memorandum of understanding with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance to cover component support and maintenance services for the national flag carrier’s fleet of Airbus A320s.
Khmer Times reported the 12-year agreement includes full component support services, repairs and maintenance, pool access, and the provision of a main base with local services.
Cambodia Angkor Air CEO, Nguyen Tu Huy, was quoted saying Cambodia now has 45 airlines both local and international operating flights to and in Cambodia.
“The Cambodian aviation market is growing at 10% per year, and therefore Cambodia Angkor Air will grow as well…by 2020, the airline will have 10 Airbus A320 aircraft,” he said.
Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance senior vice president, Fabrice Defrance, signed the 12-year agreement to support 10 A320 aircraft of Cambodia Angkor Air.
