Airport railway service was launched this morning (April 10) to server service of carrying passengers from the central railway station to the Phnom Penh International Airport.

The airport service is free of charge to passengers at Phnom Penh International Airport and people reside nearby the location April to end of July this year.

In the first pre-launching stage, two existing courage are served the service and as planned, the three modern courage will be replaced the current serving courage and full service will be ready by upcoming June, Sun Chanthol Minister of Public Works and Transportation, said in the launching ceremony this morning.

“The airport railway service will help passengers to skip the busy traffic on the road from the city to the airport,” Mr Chanthol said.

Three courage are imported from Mexica, according to Royal Railway,  a subsidiary to Royal Group, which manage the country’s railway service network.

The shuttle will take 30 minutes one way and it will be able to move about 100 passengers both sitting and standing.
