Telecom Cambodia aims to enhance access to the internet for students across the nation with a recently launched programme that seeks to equip high schools in the provinces with modern equipment, including free Wi-Fi.
The programme follows a similar government initiative in May that made free Wi-Fi available in two parks in Phnom Penh: Samdach Hun Sen Park and Royal Palace Park.
Hun Sen Toul Khpos High School in Kampong Chhnang province will be the programme’s first beneficiary, but it will soon expand to include Hun Sen Kampong Leng High School in Kampong Chhnang and Ei Va Srong High School in Kampong Speu, according to Tram Iv Tek, the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications.
