QLM Label Makers is continuing its expansion drive in Southeast Asia with a $1.5 million facility in Phnom Penh, its first branch in Cambodia, and will also install the country’s first HP Indigo Label Press.

The new site boasts a combination of digital and analogue label printing equipment as well as a range of devices used in the garment industry.

Sokun Tep, general manager of QLM Cambodia, told Khmer Times the Australian company is a world-famous label maker and its factory in Cambodia will offer products never before seen in the local market.

“QLM Cambodia brings labels and packaging to life. Manufacturing high quality labels, stickers and tags on a roll is now available right here in Phnom Penh,” Mr Sokun said.

He said the company has set up its new factory in the Cambodian capital in response to strong demand for such products in the country.

Eyeing the premium embellishment market and roll-to-roll printing, QLM has also installed the country’s first HP Indigo Digital Label Press.

Simon Pugh, QLM Group’s CEO, said the company sees Cambodia as a market with exciting growth potential.

“We will be providing quality materials and converting equipment, something the market has been wanting for some time.”

Mr Pugh said QLM is investing in the region to have a greater presence in emerging markets.
