The International Fund for Agriculture Development (Ifad) pledged $12.2 million in loans and grants to expand the Agriculture Services Programme for Innovation, Resilience and Extension (Aspire) for the year 2019.
The government will also provide an extra $2.5 million for the expansion, bringing the additional funds to a total of nearly $15 million.
Aspire is a programme that seeks to improve the livelihoods of vulnerable smallholder farmers.
