Cambodian Expects Attracting nearly 3 Million Foreign Visitors

Cambodia is expected to attract 2.7 to 2.8 million of foreign visitors this year, Secretary of State of Tourism H.E. Sam Prumnea said recently.

In the election of board members of Association of Korean Guide in Siem Reap, H.E. Sam Prumnea said the tourism sector in Cambodia has generated income around US$ 2 billion and provide job to more than 400,000 people.

andldquo;Korean visitor ranked number 2 followed Vietnamese visitors and we expected that at the end of this year it will increase to 240,000 visitorsandrdquo;, he said.

In early 5 month of the year, Siem Reap alone attracted 1.4 million foreign visitors. It increased 15% if compared to the same period in previous year. South Korean visitor to Siem Reap was around 113,000 visitors, increased 32%, he said.
