H.E. Thong Khon Returns Home from Attending Tourism Event in Vietnam

Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Thong Khon returned home yesterday after paying a five-day official visit to Vietnam.

During his stay in Vietnam, H.E. Thong Khon had attended a tourism event under the theme “Cultural Heritage Tourism toward Integration and Join-Development of Historical Cities” and some other Vietnam’s celebrations, said an official of the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism.

H.E. Thong Khon has also met with Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, H.E. Hoang Tuan Anh to discuss further development and cooperation on tourism sector between the two countries, he said.

Enhancing safety of tourists’ travels by land, sea and air has been also discussed on the occasion, added the official.

Moreover, H.E. Thong Khon expressed his support to the establishment of Vietnamese cultural center in Phnom Penh, and requested the Vietnamese side to further provide scholarships to Cambodian provincial officials, and to create Cambodia-Vietnam Cultural Week.
