The Phnom Penh Municipal Court on Saturday charged 13 staff from at Chamkar Mon district nightclub, the White Club, who were among 120 revelers and employees arrested in a Friday raid on the club by military police, Deputy Prosecutor Sok Roeun said yesterday. Mr Roeun, however, said that he ?could not remember which charges? the 13 staff now face. The 107 nightclub patrons were release from military police custody early Friday morning while the 13 employees ? two dancers related to what Pol Davy, deputy commander for Phnom Penh?s military police, described as ?naked dance.? Mr. Davy, however, admitted the dancers were wearing ?underwear? type clothing when the club was raided. The club?s manager Long visal, said on Friday that the club didn?t have naked dancing and while the scantily clad dancers did have ?sexy? moves, they were clothed. Mr Davy said military police are searching for the owner of the club, Chan Vituo. The raid took place the night after a speech by Prime Minister Hun Sen during which he chastised Phnom Penh?s military police commander, Ya Kim Y, for not doing enough to stamp out vice. Mr Kim Y led the raid on the White Club and held a press conference about it on Friday.
