Bakheng Temple closed for renovation

Apsara Authority has cooperated with World Monument Fund (WMF) on management in order to conserve and reconstruct the Bakheng Temple. The actual study showed that the East ladder of the Temple is heavily damaged.

As the above mention, the East ladder of the Bakheng Temple will be temporarily closed by Apsara Authority in order to avoid accidentially to tourists who visit the temple. The closing date will be started from 01 August 2006. But tourists can visit the Bakheng Temple by walking detour at the north of the temple.
