The tourism authorities in Malaysia, Indonesia and Cambodia have agreed to complement each other in bringing tourists to these three countries.

Malaysia?s tourism industry was also expected to get a boost with the ?trial of civilisation? concept featuring heritage sites recognised by Unesco, said Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen.

?Since Malacca and Penang have received the award from Unesco as World Heritage sites, they will be the link in the tourism industry to the other two countries.

?The Government will provide all the facilities. However, the tourism operators, the airlines companies, hoteliers and other parties have to play their active roles,?? she said after a courtesy call to Cambodia?s King Norodom Sihamoni at the Royal Cambodian Palace here on Tuesday.

The tourism authorities of the three countries are holding a meeting here.

Dr Ng added there was already coordination between Malaysia and Indonesia to complement each other.

?Now we are also looking forward to cooperate with Cambodian travel agents to offer travelling packages between both countries,?? she said.
